Case study · Business app

The tour, in the artist's pocket.

Faro replaces the PDF itinerary and the group chat. Artists and their crews see every flight, show, and call time in one mobile app, and the agency manages it all from a web dashboard, with alerts when a flight changes.

What it is

A touring itinerary platform for artists and the agencies that book them

Where

iPhone and Android app for the road, web dashboard for the office

Studio's role

Product, design, mobile app, dashboard, flight alerts, and the service behind them

Status

In testing with artists, heading toward an agency CRM

What it shows

A business app is an operations app your customers carry.

An agency's work is scheduling, documents, and changes. Faro is the same shape as the operations platforms we build for offices, with one difference: the people using it are on a tour bus with bad signal. So the app works offline, flight changes come as alerts instead of emails, and the dashboard back at the agency is the single place everything is edited.

It is also where we practice the next thing we offer clients: turning an operations tool into a product that an industry pays for.
